DIY Patio Planters

Turn the average patio planter into a trendy eye catcher!

Pick out your choice of spray paint (be sure it says for plastic)
*Depending on how faded your planters are may require additonal spray paint
Have your kids wash your planters (or pay the neighbor kids LOL)

Be sure to let them have plenty of time to dry.

Start with the planter upside down on newspaper follow the instructions written on the spray paint can.  Repeat as needed.  Let that dry for a good 15 minutes then flip the planter right side up.

Continue to spray painting the top rim and the inside wall (remember you are filling this with soil and do not need to spray paint the entire inside)  Let that dry for another 15 minutes.

Look over the planter to make sure there's no spots you missed.  Let the planter dry throughly as directed on the spray paint can.  It's usually best to at least let it dry for 24 hrs.

If you choose you can spray it with a clear coat layer too.

Fill the planters with soil and plant your flowers!

 Enjoy your trendy Patio Planters!!
